Are you into music? Do you play an instrument or sing? Are you aged 4 to 18 and do you live in or around Bath? Then Young Musicians is for you.

At the Music Centre you’ll find Wind Bands, Brass groups, guitar ensembles and much, much more! All the groups are taken by experienced musicians from Bath and North East Somerset Music Service. We also run the greatest tuck shop in Bath! We rehearse on Saturday mornings or Wednesday evenings in term time and perform at least three concerts a year. So why not come along to Hayesfield Upper School and join us. Everyone from any school is welcome.

It’s exciting! It’s fun! And we have the best tuck shop in Bath! Call our Info Line on 01225 395388 and leave a message to sign up. Or you can print off an application form here. Or the Senior Centre Form here

Tuck Shop Volunteers

We need more parent volunteers to run the tuck shop.  There is no need for a regular commitment - half an hour once a term or even once a year would be a great help.  If you are interested, please e-mail tuck@bsym.org.uk to sign up.

Friends of BSYM

The Friends of BSYM act as a parents committee for the Saturday and Wednesday music centres, raising funds to aid the running of the centres through the tuck shop and serving refreshments at concerts.  This year a number of the committee will be leaving as their children reach the end of their schooling. We are actively looking for new  members of the committee to be able to continue the work of the Friends, particularly those with children in the younger bands. If you think you could help or want to know more then please contact the committee on committee@bsym.org.uk.

Rock Band Academy

Currently on hold - seeking a new venue.  Contemporary music sessions including song writing and performing in a wide variety of styles using state of the art equipment.  Beginners and advanced welcome.
Please check out the Rock Academy page.

Friends Committee

As many of you will know, the friends of BSYM exists to financially support the activities of the BSYM music school through activities such as the tuck shop and concert refreshment.  The friends of BSYM is a charity and needs an active committee, drawn from parents, to support these activities.

Some of the existing committee members are retiring this year and we are looking for new blood for the committee before our AGM in the autumn.  All of the committee roles are pretty straight forward and do not require specialist expertise.  Any new general committee members would be very welcome - you don't have to wait for the AGM to join!

If you would like to find out more about the committee or are interested in joining the committee please contact us at committee@bsym.org.uk
